meetings play an important role in helping us maintain a safe, effective and well-organised service for our clients, counsellors, volunteers and community.
Regular meetings allow us to work collaboratively, review the needs of the service, discuss future developments and ensure that we continue providing high-quality support in a professional and ethical way.
Meetings also provide valuable opportunities for volunteers and team members from both our Oldham and Ashton sites to get to know one another, build supportive working relationships and feel connected as part of one wider team. Creating these connections helps strengthen the sense of community within the organisation and encourages shared learning, support and collaboration across both sites.
Annual General Meeting (AGM): Our Annual General Meetings provide an opportunity to reflect on the progress, achievements and challenges of the organisation over the past year. AGMs help ensure transparency, accountability and good governance within the service. also allows volunteers to stay informed about the direction and future goals of Side by Side Counselling.
Committee Meetings: They are essential for the ongoing management and development of the organisation. These meetings focus on areas such as governance, safeguarding, policies, funding, finances, fundraising, service development and long-term sustainability. The committee meetings help ensure that the organisation continues to operate responsibly, ethically and in the best interests of the community.
Service Meetings: These provide an opportunity for counsellors, volunteers and staff to come together to discuss the day-to-day running of the service, share updates, raise concerns, review processes and support one another as a team. These meetings help strengthen communication, collaboration and consistency across the organisation while ensuring the needs of clients remain at the centre of the service.
